Trail Adventures

From leisurely strolls through the woods to challenging mountain bike single track, adrenaline pumping OHV trails and peaceful horseback rides on wooded paths, Mountaintop members can make arrangements through the club's Outdoor Pursuits staff to explore the beauty of the neighboring Nantahala National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Fly-Fishing

Several natural streams lace the Mountaintop property, creating a uniquely beautiful mountain setting. Seasonally, sections of these streams will be stocked with fish to provide members with enjoyable fly fishing opportunities at the club. Additionally, the Blue Ridge Mountains boast some of the nation's finest Trout streams, and many of the most celebrated are just a short drive from Mountaintop. The Outdoor Pursuits staff can provide directions, and access to guide services upon request.

Outposts

As children, we all loved the secret hideouts, places where we could escape from the world at large and enjoy time spent with our friends or simply by ourselves. In that spirit, Mountaintop's Outdoor Pursuits staff maintains several opportunities for you to re-kindle the magic of youth. These include:

- The Tree-House Outlook, an inviting escape with a commanding view of and the beautiful surrounding mountains

- Kid's Camp, all the fun of a summer camp without the need to leave Mountaintop
